On 14th November 2023, it was our 15 year anniversary! Naturally, we couldn't let this milestone go by without raising a glass in celebration of everything KSS has achieved over the past 15 years.
We have been funded by many organisations over the years - primarily Lotteries, COGS, Foundation North, Sky City, Trust Waikato as well as funds from Southern Trust and Auckland Council for specific objectives. These funds have been integral to our ongoing success, and we are so grateful. Our goal for the next year is to achieve a new objective - rally community businesses to support us and enable us to provide more services at either a subsidised rate or totally free!
Last week, we got together a group of staff/contractors both past and present to reflect on the last 15 years and cheers to many more. A huge mihi to The Longkeeper who hosted us and kindly provided platters of food, and helped to extend our table when we had a better turn out that anticipated. By a stroke of luck it just so happened we booked during happy hour too ;)
Despite the celebrations it is hard to ignore that life has and is becoming more stressful for families in our community, and we are committed to offering services that can relieve some pressure. If you or your family are struggling, do not hesitate to reach out to us, it's what we are here for.
